Root Canal Treatment
It is a treatment that is preferred when the pain of the decayed tooth does not go away, wakes the patient up at night, and still lingers despite taking painkillers, which means the decay has reached the nerves of the tooth. Thanks to this treatment, the teeth remain in the mouth instead of being extracted.
When the tooth decay reaches the living parts of the tooth, the inflammation of this area is called pulpitis (inflammation of the living parts of the tooth). The process of properly filling the tooth after cleaning and removing the inflamed tissues is called root canal treatment.
The pain caused by the tooth requiring root canal treatment can be felt not only in that tooth, but also in the neck, ear or half of the jaw where the related tooth is located.
